My understanding of the new site was that it would solve the problem of releases not appearing on release day. There were two albums released yesterday (19 May)that are on labels that Emusic have. Is there any reason they would not appear on release day? The suspicion in the past was that they were withheld because of commercial reasons but actually the explanation was the outdated content delivery of the old site. The albums in question are Jlin - Black Origami on Planet Mu and Michael Mayer - DJ Kicks on !K7 Records.
Sorry for the delayed response. I took a closer look and was able to find Black Origami for you:
I will try to find out why Michael Mayer is missing.
As for release day, we were having an issue with our search engine indexing new releases. We’ve since implemented a patch that should solve that problem. Further, we ingest new content every morning around 11am ET, so I recommend checking in the early afternoon to see the latest releases.
We were able to find a bug that was causing new releases from !K7 to get delayed. We believe that we’ve resolved the issue and you should now be able to purchase Michael Mayer – DJ Kicks here: https://www.emusic.com/album/75119016/Michael-Mayer/DJ-Kicks
I just logged into your account, went to https://www.emusic.com/album/75119016/Michael-Mayer/DJ-Kicks, and I see the album as available for purchase. Did you receive an “unavailable” error upon trying to purchase the album?
I sent you an email with updates on all the tracks you pointed out. With your help (thanks!), we were able to get all but 3 live. As we fine-tune our systems and feeds we expect more and more new releases to be available each week.
