How do I get the CD cover sleeve and details of the tracks from your new site?

Tom Weel Jun 10, 2017 11:37AM EDT

On the former website I could very easily copy the CD cover sleeve and the details of the tracks. This is no longer easily possible. Tell me how to do this otherwise.

Album art (or cover art) is stored within the metadata of the .mp3 track/album file you download. If you upload the mp3 file to a program like iTunes or Windows Media Player, their software automatically finds the cover art for you.

If you want to copy the album art for other purposes, you have a couple of choices:

1. You can use Firefox to copy the album art straight from our website:
Open emusic.com using Firefox > select album > Right-click album cover > select View Background Image > then right-click on the image and select “save image as” to copy if to the folder of your choice.
Note: we hope to enable a similar feature on other popular browsers like Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari in the near future.

2. You can use iTunes to extract the album art:
Open iTunes > select album > right-clck album cover > select ’Get Info > select “Artwork” tab > Then drag and drop the artwork onto your desktop or into the folder of your choice.

We have plans to roll out lots of great new content and features in the coming months, with upgrades every two weeks, so be sure to stay tuned to blog.emusic.com for updates, or follow us on Facebook or Twitter.
