Why is eMusic switching to Blockchain? What will happen to my subscription?

Last Updated: Oct 08, 2018 12:44PM EDT
In short, we want to disrupt the music industry. Despite gains from the big three labels in the past few years, payouts for artists have not improved and streaming services continue to lose money. Fans who love streaming but also want to support artists’ careers are caught in the balance. The eMusic blockchain project is the first-of-its-kind distribution model that enables artists and fans to share their love of music in an open ecosystem that benefits all.

If you’re an eMusic subscriber, the good news is your subscription will remain the same. If you live outside the US, you can now choose to purchase eMusic tokens (EMU), which give you an added bonus when using them to purchase eMusic credit packs.
