I was wondering what has happened to numerous labels that were on the catalogue before the relaunch?
I have continued to be a member as I have had access to labels like Sub Pop and Warp Records - these seem to have disappeared?!
Are they returning? I emailed about Warp Records some months ago and was told they would be returning shortly - but to no avail.
Please could some one give me an honest answer so I can decide where I want to go from here!
I’m sorry you were unable to find the labels you were looking for. We are aware that Sub Pop and Warp are currently unavailable, but they are both at the top of our priority list for re-ingestion (for good reason). We were able to get TuneCore, Finetunes and Domino (US & CA) content back on the site this past week, so hopefully Sub Pop and Warp are not far behind.
Since there are many dependencies, it’s tough to give you a timeline. So, we recommend you check out the eMusic blog at blog.emusic.com, or follow us on Facebook and Twitter to get regular updates on new label content and features. We expect many additions over the coming weeks and will be sure to post updates as often as possible.
In the meantime, we encourage you to take full advantage of all the new content and features available through the new eMusic. We’ve expanded collections for several featured labels and artists. If you haven’t already done so, I recommend checking out the similar artists and similar album recommendations that appear at the bottom of most artist and album detail pages. Simply find an artist or album you like and scroll down the page for lots of great recommendations. Plus, you now have unlimited cloud storage for your entire music collection and an all-new eMusic app for Android and iOS – so you can take your collection with you everywhere you go.
Shanachie Ent. is distributed to us through Entertainment One, which is currently unavailable in our catalog, but it is on our short list to be included as quickly as possible.
Transitioning to our new content platform has been a very complex process that involves setting up new agreements and feeds to enable various labels and artists. Since there are many dependencies, we are unable to estimate when this content might be added to the catalog. So, we recommend you check out the eMusic blog at blog.emusic.com, or follow us on Facebook and Twitter to get regular updates on new label content and features. We expect many additions over the coming weeks and will be sure to post updates as often as possible.
In your case I might recommend putting your account on hold for 60-90 days.
If you would like to make a change to your account, please contact Support directly via support.emusic.com>Contact Us. Or email email@example.com, using your account email address. Thanks
